The overall procedure doesn t take much time at all, and the patient can resume regular activities immediately afterwards.
When it comes to the side effects of the procedure, they are generally minimal. It is important to note that the acne gradually shrinks in the days after the procedure as well.
This procedure should only be done if other forms of treatment, such as the creams and ointments that are available at the drugstore or the grocery store, don t work. For people who are on a limited budget, they should definitely try these treatments first, since the laser procedure can become expensive.
Some people who have extremely bad acne will have to do this procedure a few times over an overall predetermined period to get the best results. Sometimes, the dermatologist might recommend additional treatments, such as a chemical peel, to make sure that the skin is as smooth as possible.
