I have been to number of weddings in my life. They were usually the weddings of my older cousins. The different weddings I have attended always had something different about them. Some were small, private and intimate, and some were grand. However, no matter what the size of the guests was or what the theme of the wedding was, I always saw a common factor, I always came home with a wedding memento. These mementos are what we commonly know to be wedding party favors. Wedding party favors are those that the bride and the groom give away to the guests as a token of appreciation for the guests presence and participation in their wedding ceremony. There are a lot of wedding favors to choose from, and you can in fact give away just about anything you might like to. However, there are certain points to consider in selecting the best wedding party favors for you, and there are different types of party favors that you can cater to for the wedding.

When I hear the word favor, the first thing that comes to my mind is doing something that somebody asks me to do, or giving someone what he would wish me to. For weddings, however, these party favors mean just the opposite. They are things that are given to you as a way of thank you. In choosing the wedding party favors to give away to your guests, there are four important points to take into account: your style, the wedding theme, your budget and the favor type. The wedding party favors that you give away should say something about you and your partner in a personal level while being relevant to theme of the wedding party. Of course, it is also important to keep the costs of the favors within the wedding budget. You would not want to go overboard. You can also choose whether your giveaways would be something practical or not. Either way, make sure that you put a little personal touch to them.

Wedding party favors: the types.
There are two main types of wedding party favors, and these are:

Personalized
Personalized wedding party favors, as its name implies, requires the givers personal touch to it. This may come in a form of a figurine with the couples picture on it or a towel with a stitched note of thanks to the guests. This stamp of personal touch can add warmth to the wedding party favor that you give away.

Wedding-themed
Were you a Cinderella fan and now have incorporated that dream-like fairy tale story to your wedding? Well you can probably giveaway a mini-glass slipper wedding favor. Wedding-themed favors usually have a significant degree of relevance to the theme of the wedding, which helps the guests keep a memento of the themed- event that they have been to, as well as remind them of your interests and style.

Wedding party favors are not just a whimsy; they are considered to be quite important. This is because they can truly help in making your guests feel appreciated. And indeed, without the guests there would be no real witness to your vows. Wedding favors are also important in letting your guests keep a memento of your most memorable day, so that they may never forget it.
