If you are looking for a wonderful place to raise your children in a warm climate and plenty of naturalistic opportunities, you might want to look into real estate in Novato, California, a true family friendly town. Novato is the picture perfect town to live in if you want a rural experience for your children, but with a bustling enough downtown area and quality education to keep yourself busy and occupied.

Novato is located on the northern edge of Marin County and is within close proximity to Napa, Sonoma, and San Francisco, California. The location is ideal for the Bay Area, offering adults convenient access to some of the best wineries throughout California while offering children and their families terrific access to outdoor activities both in the town of Novato and within surrounding communities.

One of the perks to raising your children in Novato is that there are over 27 parks (3 of which are city parks) throughout the entire city. This is one reason why you get the rural experience while living in Novato, because no matter where you live you will probably be within walking distance of a fabulous city or state run park which of course leads to plenty of healthy entertainment for both children and adults. If you have little bicyclers in your family, there are a plethora of family friendly trails across the area, and if you have some time to kill on a Saturday, there are plenty of beaches nearby in Western Marin County which can keep the kids occupied for hours on end.

Of course, you will probably feel better knowing that the Novato Unified School District offers many different levels of education from kindergarten through high school throughout the community, all of which are generally thought to provide an excellent education to budding youngsters. Thus, you can trust that when your children are not romping through the state parks learning about nature, they will be indoors getting the proper education to prepare them for the future.

Finally, Novato has many shopping centers to keep residents and visitors busy. The Vintage Oaks Shopping Center is the largest outdoor shopping mall in Novato and features large anchor stores such as Target, Macys Furniture, Costco, and Old Navy. If boutique shopping is more your speed, there are a variety of fabulous stores and restaurants. One of the best times to visit these quaint specialty shops is during the annual Novato Festival of Art, the annual Novato Wine and Music Festival which is held each June, or the annual 4th of July Parade, all of which take place in the beautiful and family-friendly downtown area of Novato.
