Watson Mill Bridge State Park is a unique and photographers delight. Spanning 229 ft across the South Fork River it is the original and longest in the state. The 100 years old, is supported by town lattice truss is firmly held by wooden pins.

At the base of Blood Mountain in Chattahoochee National Forest is Vogel State Park. If you drive from the Southern side, you will certainly pass the Neel Gap, a spectacular mountain pass Brasstown Bald.
During the fall of leaves the Blue Ridge Mountains form a sheet of red, yellow and golden leaves. Overnight stay is possible in cabins, cottages and primitive backpacking sites.
To have a spectacular view of water in every direction you have to come to Tugaloo State Park, which is built on a rugged peninsula that juts into Hartwell Reservoir.
Some of the cottages have boat docks for overnight visitors. Fishing of plenty of large mouth bass can be done al year round.
A primary entrance to the famous Okefenokee Swamp is through Steven C. Foster Park. Most laced cypress trees reflect the black swamp waters, showing a heart stopping scenery.
In the park you can hike on its trails or do the boating and watch variety of birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles.
Skidaway Island State Park has both fresh and salt water due to its big rivers that flow through the area.
Two nature trails go through live oaks, marshes, cabbage-palmettos and long life pines allowing tourists to watch shore birds, raccoons, deer, and fiddler crabs. Towers provide access to visitors to explore the wildlife.
Moccasin State Park is also known as a place where spring spends the summer. It is located in the Blue Mountains situated on the banks of beautiful Lake Burton a perfect place for country exploration.
Tour the trout rearing station that is very close. Hike on the mountain trails or simply relax in the peaceful settings.
The best place for boating and fishing is Richard B. Russell State Park. Spread in a vast 26,500 acres of lake is accessible for the handicapped too, including the swimming beach.
A natures trail goes along the shoreline to the oldest steel pin bridges of the area. Several Indians were extracted from here, before filling the lake. The area is now called Rucker's bottom and lies deep in the waters of the lake.
One of the popular places for boating and water skiing is in Reed Binghan State Park and it surrounds a 275 acres lake. The trails here lead you through a cypress swamp, pitcher plant hog, sand hill and other habitats.
Visitors can also see the waterfowl, the endangered gopher tortoise and indigo snake and many other creatures. Camping and fishing are also famous here.
The spring waters can still be tasted and also enjoy park's cottages, swimming, camping, hiking, boating and fishing. Many structures built in the park were during the Depression period by Civilian Corporation Corps.
Located in South Butts County, Indian Springs State Park is the oldest in US. The Indians used the springs to heal the sick and to increase the vigor of the well. During 1800s it was a busy tourist's resort.
