The treatment of wrinkles using dermal fillers is a huge cosmetic field that is flourishing, which helps many keep a radiant and healthy look even after the elements may have caused skin damage or wear. With so many treatment options out there, it is best to take a look at the options available and get an idea of what each type of treatment may offer the individual.

One such treatment option is Restylane, a skin care dermal filler injection which is comprised of a non animal base solution. The solution is formulated from the streptococcus bacteria and helps to smooth out fine lines, wrinkles, and fill in areas of the skin. The safety rating with Restylane is very good and side effects are limited to pain, redness, and tenderness at the injection site. There can be more serious risks involved, which are associated with granuloma. This is a very rare occurrence but should be understood and discussed with a skin care professional or dermatologist nonetheless.

Like all dermal fillers, they are not permanent, and results vary from case to case. Each person’s skin is different but the results for Restylane typically last for about 6 12 months and should be redone about that often. It is important to have realistic expectations prior to going in for your treatments and to speak frankly with a cosmetic dermatologist about your expectations and desires. Skin care is different for everyone and to help determine whether Restylane is right for you, it is a good idea to check out your options and to remain informed.

Maintaining beautiful skin need not be difficult. By preventing fine lines and wrinkles, your skin will thank you later. Wearing plenty of protective sunscreen, hats, and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, you can maintain healthy and beautiful skin. Restylane is for those that would like to diminish the effects of the weather and basic wear on skin that occurs over time. After treatment injections, you can resume activities immediately and treatment is usually followed by minor discomfort. Since treatments for cosmetic reasons are considered elective, most health insurance providers will not cover the cost of injections. Discussing the cost of treatment is a good idea prior to getting any work done. This is helpful to make sure that your cosmetic dermatologist and you are on the same page and both agree to the terms of the treatment being offered.

Since Restylane injections are not permanent, it is important to consider prevention techniques as early as one can in life, which will safeguard beautiful skin for longer. Preventing damage is the key, and sunscreen is one of the best ways to prevent sun damage after years of exposure. Once skin damage sets in, there are not many options to permanently remove it unless surgery is considered. Since injection treatments do not require one to undergo surgery, they are often more popular and desirable though they do not last. Still, having to return for repeat treatments every 6 12 months is not too bad, yet this all depends on your financial commitment to the treatments.
